Demand AccountabilityTo UW–Madison officials, the Madison Police Department, and the Dane County District Attorney:
We demand full accountability for the September 23, 2026 AEPi hazing incident. The Cornell and LSU cases cited by this archive reinforce the need for transparent investigations, meaningful prevention, and support for victims—not silence.
- Investigate all credible allegations thoroughly and independently, preserve evidence, and give victims and witnesses safe ways to cooperate.
- Publish timely updates on the criminal investigation and university conduct process, within the limits of privacy and the law.
- Hold anyone found responsible accountable through appropriate legal and university processes, with due process and consequences proportionate to the evidence.
- Protect victims and witnesses from retaliation and provide access to support.
- Explain what changes will prevent future hazing, assault, and failures of oversight.
An arrest is not a conviction. This petition does not presume guilt or equate the facts of separate cases.
